7. Dispatcher’s Workflow

8. Tools

9. Meet the MC and Driver
The dispatcher needs to know the answers to a broker's possible questions during the negotiations in advance. It is crucial to analyze the MC Carrier you intend to work with. Once the Dispatcher gets all the info about their MC, it's time to get to know the Driver and find out all the details. 2 lessons, 2 home assignments.
10. Weekly Plan
As you already know, weekly schedules represent the most convenient timeframe for working in this system. What do you need to plan ahead? You need to know everything about the Driver! A driver is a resource with preferences. Know the Planning Tools and how to use them. Know the Market and its features. Use the Planning Methodology. 4 lessons.
11. Finding Freight
Looking for loads is the main task of the dispatcher. The most important thing is finding the appropriate load for the best price possible. The dispatcher starts searching for loads based on his estimated plan. Getting a good load requires filtering out the load-board, calling brokers, and checking them for factoring. While this process shouldn’t take too much time, it may vary from case to case. 3 lessons,2 home assignments.
12. Negotiations
Mastery of conversation and negotiation skills are essential for any Dispatcher. The final price for each Load Is booked, depending on how well the negotiations with the broker went. An experienced Negotiator will be able to score the highest price in hot zones and bring the price up a bit where others would simply take the load without bargaining. 13. Paperwork
The load has been booked, and now we have to do a Setup with the broker - that is, if our MC haven’t worked with the Broker’s company yet and it’s their first time booking with them, otherwise we get the Rate Confirmation straight away.
