11. Finding Freight
Looking for loads is the main task of the dispatcher. The most important thing is
finding the
appropriate load for the best price possible. The dispatcher starts searching for
loads based on
his
estimated plan. Getting a good load requires filtering out the load-board, calling
brokers, and
checking them for factoring. While this process shouldn’t take too much time, it may
vary from
case to

12. Negotiations
Mastery of conversation and negotiation skills are essential for any Dispatcher. The
final price
for
each Load Is booked, depending on how well the negotiations with the broker went. An
experienced
Negotiator will be able to score the highest price in hot zones and bring the price

others would simply take the load without bargaining. Moreover, a dispatcher with
superb
communication
skills can establish long-term relationships, which could elevate him to a whole new
level in
